Hawaii Five-0

How did a 1968 cop reboot turn into one of TV's most explosive, long-running action hits? Here is the secret behind the island phenomenon.

A Vendetta in Paradise

Returning to Oahu to hunt his father's killer, Navy SEAL Steve McGarrett takes command of an elite task force answering only to the Governor with immunity and means.

The Famous 'Carguments'

The true pulse of Five-0 was the hilarious, rapid-fire bickering between island-loving Steve McGarrett and cynical Jersey transplant Danny 'Danno' Williams during chaotic car chases.

Real Action, Real Scars

Lead star Alex O'Loughlin performed his own brutal stunts for years, enduring cracked ribs, torn ligaments, and spinal injuries to deliver relentless realism on screen.

Defying Reboot Odds

While most TV remakes fizzle out quickly, Hawaii Five-0 powered through 240 episodes across 10 seasons, boosting local Hawaiian production and redefining the primetime procedural.
